Joshua is a Queensland born, Perth raised, Australian Professional Ballroom Dancer who has specialises as a Latin American Dancer.

Joshua started dancing at the early age of 10 at school dance classes and quickly started his competitive career about a year later.  At the young age of 15, and under the guidance of coach Michael Baker, Joshua became well-regarded in the industry for his creativity in choreography and development of a unique performance based style.

As an amateur dancer Joshua spent time studying dancing with the worlds best teachers in England, Italy, Hong Kong and America. Joshua teamed up with Italian dancer Sara Magnanelli on the professional circuit and Joshua and Sara quickly became a strong international team with great success.

For the last 15 years Joshua has also been involved in the development and coaching of other dancing teams and individuals in Italy, Hong Kong and Australia. He has extensive experience in professional-amateur (also referred to as pro-am where the professional (Joshua) dances with an amateur) and has done shows and competitions across the globe in America, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, United Kingdom, Shanghai to name a few.

In 2015 Josh worked with Australian TV’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ program as a professional dancer and choreographer and was was successful in transforming supermodel Samantha Harris in to a Dancing diva in the space of a few weeks.

The same year saw Josh found “Move For Life”, a dance company, focussed on Empowering through Dance. The company has been well received in Hong Kong especially by Hong Kong’s most prestigious International schools, Kindergartens, special needs schools and children’s activity organisations like YWCA & YMCA.  The Move For Life team have developed curriculums for Physical education, music, art and Drama to enrich schools offerings for students and help them become well rounded individuals.

In 2019 Josh partnered with international Drag sensation “Courtney Act” to finish as runner ups on Australia’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ (DWTS), where they wowed the audiences with highly emotional and empowering dances.

Following DWTS (Aust), Josh was hand picked to join the ‘Strictly Come Dancing UK‘ team as assistant to the Creative Director and Choreographer  and will join the Arena tour early 2010.
